Dennis Gomes is the CEO of the Resorts Casino Hotel in Atlantic city and a former Las Vegas mob investigator and police officer. What better person to have sitting in a restauraunt having dinner when a potential theif was helping himself to a package that didn't belong to him?
While having dinner with his wife on September 3, Gomes noticed a man grab a package that was under a table and take off with it. Using his former skills, he instinctively jumped into action and chased after him. The chase went through a casino where eventually a security guard jumped in after Gomes told him what was happening.
The chase ended after Gomes ran down an up escalator and with the help from the security guard, captured the thief. The package had been dropped near the beginning of the chase but Gomes wanted his man along with the package.
So what was in the package that "sticky fingers" attempted to steal? Some diapers and a couple of DVDs.
