250 Jobs To Be Cut By Pocket Kings

Dublin, Ireland is home for Pocket Kings who is the company that runs the operations for Full Tilt Poker. Pocket Kings has announced that they must cut at least 250 jobs within their company.

Full Tilt Poker is one of the online poker sites that had involvement with the US Dept of Justice on April 15, 2011, better known as Black Friday in the online gambling industry. Two of the poker site's founders were arrested for bank fraud and money laundering. Since then, Full Tilt Poker had it's license stripped on June 29, 2011 by The Alderney Gambling Commission.

Pocket Kings stated that they needed to cut jobs in order to make up for the loss of USA players in the amount of 12 million. The company employs about 800 employees and the 250 job cuts is not an exact figure. They still must sort numbers out.

This is all according to the Irish Times.

Many professional online poker players in the US lost their only source of income and it seems more people in the industy will be losing their income as well. Unfortunately Black Friday has hit more than USA gambling enthusiasts pocketbooks.
