Quick story ... I had a friend who's husbands name was Chenault. They called him Chet for short.

You can imagine how this song was sung to him ...... "Chet's nuts roasting on an open fire" la la la

I am a great Otis Redding fan. I have always enjoyed his version of this song. He only recorded 2 Christmas songs in his career.

As a side note, Otis died today back in 1967 in a plane crash. Makes me sad when I think of all the greats we have lost to soon.

As Otis would say........."Take a listen." I think you will enjoy it.

This was the first song I had ever heard Amy Winehouse sing and that was just last night (hahah, yes I just typed "last night" cuz I was hearing the song playing!!) I meant last Christmas, when I believe mommymachine posted it.
