Jonathan Duhamel is the winner of last year's WSOP and the victim of a home invasion that happened on Wednesday.
Duhamel, who lives in Montreal, was brutally beaten by two masked men who then made off with his WSOP diamond bracelet. Also taken was a Rolex watch and some cash.
The media has learned that Duhamel has been released from the hospital and is recovering from the attack.
Duhamel walked away with $8.9 million after winning last year's tournament.
It has not been determined if this was a random attack or if it was planned specifically against Duhamel.
Investigators received information from the public and with this information they were able to arrest a 20-year-old woman Saturday night, said Const. Mark David of the Longueuil police.
She was charged with five offences including conspiracy.
Then on Monday a 22-year-old man and a 26-year-old man were arrested in Pointe-Claire in connection to the case. They appeared in court Wednesday charged with breaking and entering, robbery, assault and forcible confinement.
As of Thursday morning, no charges had been laid against the 20-year-old.
Investigators are still questioning the fourth suspect to find out who did what in this case, David said.
