Superbowl XLVI Is Heading Into Record Breaking Territory
Superbowl Sunday, 2/5/12, may be the day that records are smashed as far as being the largest single day sporting event.
Some land based casinos have predicted that Superbowl football fans will exceed their New Year's Eve party go-ers.
The two teams who will be playing in the Superbowl this year, the NY Giants and the NE Patriots, are big favaorites of many fans and it seems that the bets being placed on the NY Giants are larger this year than in years past.
The Patriots are favored by two and a half points at the Peppermill Casino and still the most money is coming in for the Giants.
Besides placing bets on who will win by what point spread, you can't forget the "Proposition Bets". Some of these bets are who has the ball first to who has it last. who's going to fumble the most, who's going to do the first fumble, who's going to do the first interception.
For last year's Super Bowl, more than $87 million was wagered in Nevada. Getting $90 million this year would be huge.
