A Few Tips For Your Stay In Vegas

    By Amberly Ashton

If you're planning a trip to Las Vegas here are some great tips you need to know. Did you know you could actually fly to Vegas usually for less money than it cost to drive? Before you fill up the tank and get your car loaded always check with the airlines for any specials. Doing this can put money in your pocket along with saving you time. No one wants to spend unnecessary time stuck in a car when you don't have to.

If you want to gamble for upgrades on your room you have to try the "$20 Trick". Guest try this every day in hopes of getting their room upgraded. When you arrive at the casino slip a $20 bill in with your driver license when you are signing in at the hotel desk. You can say something like "I was really hoping for a room with a view". The majority of people who have tried this little trick report a high success rate and end up with a much better room than they started with. Some even receive food tickets or club tickets as well. It may not work for you but hey, your in Vegas right? Why not take the gamble?

Always get a player card when you are ready to hit the casino floor. You can earn points for all your game play and then receive free comps for meals, entertainment and future stays at the casino. While playing your favorite games you can receive free drinks. One tip to keep the drinks coming is to tip the waitress $5 to start and always give $1 or $2 for each drink after that.

Finally, you don't have to spend all your time gambling just because you are in Vegas. The pools are beautiful so make sure you get some relaxation in as well. Walking the strip won't cost you a dime. Take advantage of all the excitement the strip has to offer. At night the city is alive! You can hit the night clubs for some fabulous music and dancing. Vegas is a hot vacation destination. You can't just go once either. Each time you go you're guaranteed to see and experience something new. To make your trip a positive experience always do your research. The more you know, the better time you will have.

And, FYI, if you go to or through the Treasure Island, check out the beautiful wallpaper, especially that which is hung on the escalators' walls. See how nicely everything is maintained, even the faux finish on quite a few of the walls? Well . . . . . that's because my husband, Thomas Green, hung all the wallpaper in the casino, restaurants, and bathrooms, on the casino floor, and maintains the painting in all the restaurants, etc.. He is an artist! A master of his trade, and I am very, very proud of him!  :bigclap::bigclap::bigclap::bigclap::bigclap::bigclap::bigclap::bigclap::bigclap:

I am Loni, that is so cool!!! I have never been to Vegas and from what I can see online the architecture is breath taking! I can tell you are very proud of your husband! It has to be awesome to be able to walk in to the casino and show your friends what an amazing artist your husband is. I hope one day my husband and I can go. Who know's maybe it could be the destination for the Honeymoon we never had. Thanks for sharing!!

Even though I have been to Vegas more times than I remember now, I have never been inside Treasure Island. Next time I am there, I will make sure to visit TI just to check out your husbands work, I_Am_Loni. Thanks for letting us know!
