Nevada's Gaming Control Board will start taking applications in February of 2012 for those licensed companies who wish to operate online poker sites. The board should be ready by then to start with their approving or denying process. The process should be much quicker for those who already have a license in the State of Nevada. Once the application is approved and a company becomes licensed to operate an online poker site, they will have the go ahead to offer poker play within the state's borders. They will not be allowed to offer wagering of poker games to anyone outside the state's borders. This is great news all the way around because it means the US keeps getting one step closer in the legalization of internet gaming within the US borders.
