To coincide with the Beach Boys 50th anniversary in show business, the new Beach Boys slot machine from Bally Technologies will roll out nationwide sometime in August this summer. The video slot machine has five reels, five different progressive jackpots and is enhanced with video clips of the Beach Boys performances. Five of the band's most popular songs including California Girls, Fun Fun, Fun and I Get Around play throughout the game. Players can listen to the music on Bally's surround-sound chair.The slot machine is similar to the company's Michael Jackson King of Pop game, that is themed with the music of the famed performer. The device, which was unveiled last year at the Global Gaming Expo in Las Vegas, has been dubbed part game, part concert. A similar theme is the company's slot machine based on the movie Grease. The game, inspired by the 1978 musical film about two love-struck high school teens in the 1950s, was also unveiled at last year's G2E. The game is Bally's first double-play slot machine, featuring two, 25-line games that enable the player to play two games at once.Bally Vice President of Corporate Marketing Dan Savage said the pop culture titles and iconic brands fit the demographics casino customers.Bally launched the Grease slot machine in March.
