For two decades, a New York woman has been on the hunt for the elusive jackpot, playing the slot machines at Flamingo Las Vegas in regular visits. At 1:08 a.m. on Friday, she finally found it.The jackpot winner, identified only as Rosemary, was playing the Wheel of Fortune slot at Flamingo when the 2x3x4x symbols lined up - an instant $1,140,129 payout, Caesars Entertainment officials said. The outcome she coveted - the kind that millions across the world visit Las Vegas hoping to hit - finally lined up. I have been playing these types of machines at the Flamingo twice a year for 20 years and it has finally paid off, Rosemary said in a statement.Rosemary became the newest member of Caesars Entertainment's million-dollar winners. Her win came just six weeks after a man won $1,452,800 playing the Wizard of Oz slot machine at the same casino. I love paying these million-dollar jackpots, said Valerie Turner, Flamingo's casino manager. It makes me happy to see the tears in their eyes because you know this trip has changed their life. After 20 years, Rosemary has finally hit her jackpot, and with that fortune in hand, she plans to buy a Jaguar.source

One happy woman I am sure! I tend to stay away from progressives. Don't think they ever hit as well. So, I will never become a millionaire. lol Yeah, Pam, would be interesting to know how much????

I'll play the Wheel of Fortune progressive at my casinos here sometimes. $1.25 spin doesn't seem like a whole lot to lose at a time if a million bucks or more is on the line. I don't run to that machine first thing though. Even after 20 years of playing progressives, I wouldn't think she put in more than the $1,140,129 she won. lol But it would be interesting to know exactly how much .... which we will never know. Unless she kept precise records, she doesn't even know. lol
