    Class II Slot Machines

    1. All Class II Slot machines are linked together so the players are playing against each other for a prize.
    2. A Video Lottery Terminal (VLT) picks the winners. A VLT is like a lottery scratch card.

    3. Class II Slot Machines are pre programmed to pay out at particular times with a set quantity of wins and losses.
    4. Not every game is guaranteed to have a winner. The game will however go on until there is one.
    5. On Indian gaming reservations is typically where Class II Slot Machines will be found.
    Class III Slot Machines

    1. Each machine is independent from each other with players competing against the casino for a prize.
    2. A Random Number Generator or (RNG) picks the winners.This gives every machine the same chance of winning every game.
    3. Class III Slot Machines are not pre programmed to pay out at any particular time.
    4. Class III Slot Machines are what most people think of when they think of a slot machine and are typically called "Vegas Slots"
