New Jersey, Nevada, California, Iowa and Florida will be joined by Massachusetts as states who want to legalize online poker within it's borders. Rep. Dan Winslow has proposed a plan that would have state regulation in place by July 1, 2012. It calls for regulation and legislation to be a part of his state's plan to bring in new jobs and revenue.Massachusetts has a gambling bill that includes 3 casinos and 1 slot machine venue but Rep. Winslow feels that the online poker addition to the bill will bring in much more for the state.If the federal government takes notice (which it has been) to all the states who want to legalize online gambling, it is just a matter of time before it becomes legal on a federal level.
