<table width="600" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" >      Dear Kurt, Our records show that you may have used your NetSpend Visa® Prepaid Debit Card for internet gambling transactions in the past.Beginning May 31, 2010, MasterCard and Visa will begin complying with the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act by blocking all online gambling transactions attempted by U.S. cardholders. This means you will not be able to use your NetSpend card or account for internet based gambling transactions. Internet gambling transactions will be automatically declined to comply with these federal regulations. NetSpend has no control over this change.Dont forget there are many great ways to use your NetSpend card. You can pay bills online or over the phone, shop online and make everyday purchases anywhere Visa debit cards or wherever Debit MasterCard is accepted. At NetSpend, we make sure that you are informed and in control of your money.Thank you,Your NetSpend Team

I got that too, even though I made a small deposit just this morning after one pending deposit cleared on their end. I don't know what makes them so sure? I really feel like giving them a piece of my mind, but not just yet.

Does this apply to Visa gift cards as well?"

Im gonna go ahead and guess no based on this:NetSpend and other cards like it that we have been using are pre-paid re-loadable cards. Now gift cards are a one time use thing - granted you can spend part of what is on them and use it again to spend the rest of whats on it but you can not load more money on to them when its gone. This i think puts them in a different catagory (at least for now)  not like they are monitoring activity on gift cards- all you would have to do is not register it online(I know they say all over the card must register before you can use it for online purchases )And I guess that may be the case with some online purchases -but not with what we use them for, because I use them all the time at casinos w/o registering them BUT THE THING WITH THAT IS ..I save them all in case they request copies of any for a cash out, and if they do I register them at that time- before i send the scans to support - that way its registered to my name for getting my verification dos approved.BUT I DO NOT KNOW ANY OF THIS FOR A FACT - IM JUST SAYING HOW I DO IT. now that iI read that....its not exactly an answer is it PSP??Sorry about that ...but for what its worth anyway

I made two deposits at the English Harbor Group on my Visa Memorial Day successfully.  I sure hope they clear my account!  In early Jan, this year,  I made two deposits At A topGame Casino (Rome),  they were returned unpaid to Rome Casino.  Before discovering my Visa Card Bank (Chase) had refused to honor my payment,  Rome Casino, 7 Reels, and one other TopGame casino locked my accounts! That kinda made me mad. They did not give me A chance to work it out with them.  I felt like they were calling me A cheat or A crook!  I hope this does not happen at English Harbor member casinos.  I am 4000 points away from Platinum Status!I guess I will be using my QuickTender account exclusively now.  That also sucks because some bonus match promotions at the English Harbor bunch are only valid with A credit card deposit!I would assume that even the prepaid Gift cards issued thru VISA may be rejected if the bank recoginized that it was to an online casino!  But I am just guessing.

Sorry CatDancer, I did not seee your post about the prepaid gift cards before my last post. I would not even have addressed it if I had! You have A good point about them being A one time use tool. Most people may throw the spent card away afterwords.

My thoughts about the gift cards are that if they are issued by one of the major CC companies, then why wouldn't a gambling transaction be blocked? It does not matter that the activity cannot be monitored because you do not have an account with a gift card like you do with NS. All that matters is when the transaction from the casinos processor hits the CC processor, wham! It's blocked. This is just the way I see it and I may be completely wrong."
"
Also notice my use of abbreviations, CC, NS. Let's start doing this from now on in case the CC companies are going out and using their Get Smart high tech gadgets to see what is being said all over the internet.

Yup there's got to be an easier way? Is there anyone in office or running for office to voice this with? I FEEL if 'they the GOVERNMENT want to regalate it, monitor, ect.? whatever, But to say we can not I FEEL is against our constution rights.. The government motto (which is a lie anyway) WE for the people..ect. LAND OF THE FREEDOM of choice and oppurtunity, "
Is now a NAZI ,solicalist country. That (If I could afford to, would just soon move ot of), But another rant.... "
So how possible or feasible? too open a banking acct. in anoher country. Use that acct to transfer funds.? The rich do it all the time. But heck an outta country banking offer American blue color folks , away to do offer it? Sign me up.. "
If they (the government) doesn't want worthless American currency going out of America? Then they (the GOVERNMENT) should offer a compensaion, Opening land based casino's here.. To offer an on line banking opt. , Sure pay taxes or whatever on it... But, better then the lotto. or such... "
Just some thoughts, Probably not the brightest of solution.. "
Thanks for listening
