Nevada state lawmakers had passed a bill during their last session that required the Nevada Gaming Commission to come up with plans to regulate online gambling that their state. The Gaming Commission did just that. They came up with a plan just in case the lawmakers at the federal level legalize online gambling.Nevada wants to make sure they have the upper hand if and when congress passes legalizing online poker. Some details of the proposed plan include taxing online operators just as they do land based casino operators. Wagers will be only accepted for poker. The game of poker does not consits of playing against a house but rather other players. The plan also states that details must be kept on record for five years of who was/is playing, what the hands were and details of all bets. The plan still needs to be approved but being that Nevada is the trendsetter when it comes to gambling, this is a plus to all online poker players and operators. It's all a step in the right direction.
