This takes the cake for Red Stag....I'm done!! [RESOLVED]

I went into Red Stag to play the free daily tournament and it kept saying that I needed to validate my email. Obviously I did this over a year ago when I first opened up my account with them. I got on live chat and this is the answer I got from Tiffany:

i have checked and I see that it seems that you have reached the maximum amount of free tournaments allowed on your account

So, I promptly told her that the deposit I made with them on Friday will be the last one that they ever see from me.

Something is wrong there! I predicted that several months ago and now I am even more convinced of some sort of a bad situation going on with them. Remember, this is just MY own personal opinion, I haven't heard anything in that regard from any other person or site.

I am still on with live chat right now trying to get her to tell me how many free tournaments are being allowed before they shut you off but she says she is handling several chats at once so I suppose she'll make me wait until the "Cash Cows" come home! OMG, that was a bad one there! I'll get back with you on that if I ever find out.

Good luck and step cautiously when dealing with Red Stag is my advice!

Here's the reply I got from her:

there is no specific number.. as I said it is based on upper management desicion.. It is actually depending on the amount of deposits you have made.. If your account shows abuse on free tournaments the system blocks itself
16:39:33
account_boxTiffanybasically there has to be a balance
16:39:44
account_boxTiffanydeposits made vs free tournament entries

How about that? I may not be the biggest depositor that they have but I do make deposits there on a monthly basis or better! Unbelievable!!

Hi there jumboscampi:
I too have dealt with Red Stag limiting free tourneys if you have deposit inactivity. You can see my thread here.
https://www.nodepositforum.com/threads/red-stag-free-tourneys.58815157/

I do find it a bit ridiculous to take away a free tourney if you have not deposited in a little while. It's not like you actually win in the tourneys anyways. lol At least I don't.

As far as I know right now, Red Stag is a reputable casino. It's just that upper management has a thing for anyone being able to participate in free tourneys if they don't deposit often. Bad decision on their part if you ask me.

I too only deposit once in a while like you jumboscampi. It is not my "main" casino.

There are plenty of other free tourneys at reputable sites that I can play. I know you feel the same.

Thanks for the post.

Yeah, I remember that post that you wrote back then. I remember reading it and thinking what a bad move it was on their part to do that. It's not like there is a great deal of money involved in those free daily tournaments and it's all bonus money anyway isn't it? You would still have to deal with the playthrough and all but just a few win $1! WOW!!

And here's another thought: I could be wrong but I was under the impression from somewhere a long time ago that in order for ANY of the online casinos to be legally allowed to offer their casino to the residents of the USA that they MUST offer a free tournament or some other free offering. In other words, they must offer a way to be able to win money without having to make a deposit into the casino. Like the contests that you see and they always have a clause that states something like "No purchase necessary in order to enter. Send a form, letter, email, etc. to blah blah blah address." Same thing!

I smell possible trouble over this for them but, maybe I'm wrong.

hi jumbo, I have asked the rep to shed some light on this "limit" situation. I don't know how much he can shed other than what you have been told, but I asked him anyway.

I've PM'd you about this, jumbo. Red Stag makes their decisions on a "player by player" basis.

And since the rep posted this on another forum, I will too. That way our members know why casinos do what they do.

Last deposit was in August 2016. Since last deposit the casino has given entry to 176 free tournaments.

Tournaments were disabled due to deposit inactivity.

I've confirmed with the rep that this player is not jumboscampi.

But it is good for all of to see what can happen in cases of "free" bonus abuse.

Hi Dismorema:

Welcome to the forum.

Red Stag is a good casino, they simple require a deposit every now and again in order to be qualified to play the free tourneys. Just something upper management has decided to do. Although I hope that other WGS casinos do not follow suit, I do understand their stance on this.

If you were thinking of depositing at Red Stag, you are safe. Red Stag is very reputable.
