Okay, here ya' go . . . . The first one is me, at five, still an innocent   The second one is me at nine, singing Rudolf the Red-nosed Reindeer to the Review Journal's employees at the annual Christmas party at the old Convention Center on Paradise. (My dad was foreman of the composing room) Then there's me at 21.  I had just begun dancing at the Crazy Horse, and continued to do so for nine more years! And last, but not least, a photo my dad took of Nellis Air Force Base a very, very, very long time ago! I liked being five most, I think. Loni Green

MBen,The Crazy Horse is just what you thought it is; a Gentlemen's club/ a strip joint, whatever you want to call it. Yeah, I was one of the first here in Vegas to go topless (the first girl to do so here in Vegas was a girl named Joy. She did it for kicks at Larry's Villa in 1975, and it took off from there), although, believe it or not, I did it because I LOVED to dance, and if you ever see the stage there, it was huge, and I could dance my heart out, fly across that stage on 4 stillettos, and make a lot of money too! I know many have a preconceived notion that strippers are hookers, bad women, etc., but that is not the case, although there are some that gave us a bad name.I never dated any of the customers, had a boyfriend, and a homelife, yada, yada, yada.  I fact, my life was backwards: Partied and danced from 1975, to 1984, then decided I was going to be a single mother, by choice: had David when I was 32, got my associates degree at 34, (3.96 GPA, btw), got a straight job at a lawyers office, had a ten year career as a paralegal, then David died in 2006. When he died, I lost my mind, and have not worked since. So there it is, in a nutshell.I'm writing a book, as my life has been VERY interesting, and I made a lot of mistakes that no woman should ever make, so if I put it out there, maybe some young naive woman won't do some of the STUPID things I did, like trust my boyfriend, pay off a 1/2 acre of land that we used as collateral to build a custom house on, then have him put the house in his name only. Oh yeah, I was that dumb! $205,000 house, and I got nothing out of it.  Live and learn, I guess. Anyway, Be well,Loni

Thanks for sharing Loni.:lol:There are many mornings when I wake up and think, Screw this! I'll just be a stripper! ...then I remember I'm fat and I can't dance.

Loni, I would love to read your book after you write it. From what you have shared with us through the years and recently, I can see that your life has been interesting. Lots of sadness but on the other hand triumphs also. "
What you have gone through and experienced in your life is more than a given room full of people's life experiences. Added together, they would not even equal to what you have gone through. "
Thanks for the letting me know what the Crazy Horse was/is. I'm not one to judge people as far as what they do for a living. And actually applaud people who may dance because to me that takes some big balls. Balls that big can take you anywhere and allow you to do anything.

I'll follow your lead this week, Jewels. This awesome picture is of my mom's brother, my Uncle Soichi and his new bride, my Aunt Nobue, on their wedding day in traditional Japanese wedding attire. They got married back in the 80's. I am not sure of the exact date.

I just love that picture, nikki! It has that beautiful vintage look about it. "
As far as me looking the same .... my hair is less high these days. hahaha"
And I agree. Time has flown by. I felt the same as I was posting my picture. Feels like yesterday but also like a lifetime ago. My picture was taken 27 years ago.

Know what you mean about the hair. Did you notice how high mine  was. But that was the style back  when that picture was taken. It seems like yesterday.
