Vanishing Balance?

This past New Year Holidays (2009)I took advantage of INETBETS generious holiday free chip for $9.I got lucky and worked that chip up to a value of over $200. In the process, managed to meet the playthrough requirements for this chip. Not paying too much attention, was on the phone and continued hitting the max bet button while I chatted to A friend. After my phone call, I noticed my balance was almost zilch. I just figured that I hit the bet max button more often that I had realized and was pis*sed off at myself for being so stupid and not cashing out at $90. I then decided to run a report on my account for the heck of it. Here is what is displayed me...
DateTransactionAmount1/2/2009 8:15:48 PMCoupon Reversal Withdrawal Approved!($114.98)1/2/2009 8:15:48 PMCoupon Reversal Withdrawal Requested($114.98)1/2/2009 7:54:24 PMCoupon 'Q6B6E ' redeemed$9.001/2/2009 7:54:24 PMCoupon 'Q6B6E' requested What the heck is that $114.98 BS? I never did a withdrawl plus it does not show in my withdrawls. On top of it, the casino would have denied it because it was greater than the $90 Max for the chip! Was this caused by my accidently hitting a shortcut key of some kind? Maybe it is their policy to review accounts and remove excess funds? I just would like to get guess on what happened? Any ideas what happened?I am asking here instead of casino support because it is most likely some kind of shortcut key that I hit. I just dont want to hit it again by accident if someone can tell me what I hit. I googled InetBet Shortcut keys and found some articles that matched my search. When I clicked on the articles, I could not find the shortcut key info. I also went to the casino web page and tried to find info about any shortcut keys. FAQs etc. Also struckout!Again, for the record, I am in no way accusing INETBET of any wrongdoing. They are awsome. I just successfully cashed out $100 from the XMas chip one week ago!

Oh no! I didn't think INETBET would stoop to the practices of VIP Lounge, but I guess they have! Long story short, my daughter opened an account on my computer (Not knowing I already had an acount b/c I had deleted the software), she redeemed a $99 free chip (with no problem, I might add) and she was doing very well; Pinocchio hit for $837, and then she went to Crazy Vegas, she ran her balance down to around $600 plus. But, lo and behold! All of a sudden she had $84 left! She went to the cashier's page and there it was, in black and white: a $583 withdrawal by the manager! When she contacted live chat she was informed that the manager had taken it ourt because she had duplicate accounts, which was not the case at all! And she wasn't the only one this happened to; I read at least two other complaints on other forums (or maybe this one) where a guy hit the random jackpot for over $2,000, and they took it too! I sent an email to customer support that I was going to blog it all over the place, which I did, for as long as I felt the need to waste my time on those pieces of *&^$$) "
"
This needs to be publicized, and I mean really strongly, because they are stealing money from us, bonus or not! If my daughter had created that account on her own computer, at her mom's house, they would have had no right to take any of it, but they justify it!

You may be correct but the only way another account would be opened there would be if A neighbor stealing my wi-Fi I am not going to rule out your explaination but I still choose to think it happened because of some kind of shortcut key that I hit."
"
I have read other forum members talk about Flushing their account. I assumed the word meant the same as cashing out. I may have been mistaken. Perhaps I hit a shortcut key that ordered my account flushed ! I guess it depends on what flushing an account really means! and if there are shortcut keys that may be used during casino play."
"
What is the big deal about having more that one account with these casinos anyway? It should be taken into account if the accounts are always sucking up free chips, free tournaments or simply opened to exhaust a newcomer promotion. Furthermore, Its kind of like a store printing ten coupons for a sale item. It should expect that all ten coupons may be redeemed or it should not print the coupons!"
"
Thanks for your theory. I will call this Lori's Theory. Maybe it will evolve to Lori's Law of binary accounts. LOL Thanks again Lori!

If you just cashed out a week ago, it may be because you didn't deposit between free chips. Is that the case?

For most RTG casinos, I would have to agree with you robsmom but, I am pretty sure INetBets policy on free chips is different. I believe they simply require that A player has made A deposit in the past 30 (or 60) days. I will reread the free chip policy but I am 80% sure that is the only rule regarding A chips eligibility. They dont have many unexpired free chip codes around to worry about. They mostly release chip codes during a holiday and most holidays have 30 to 60 days between them. This timespan would usually eliminate the two chip in a row concern. One must assume, the initial welcome free chip that is posted at our forum is not held to this rule! LOLGOOD ANSWER and I will double check the terms just to make sure! THANKS!

Thanks KrystalKitty and Yogi. I should have known InetBet would have different (better) rules than the other casinos as far as free chips. So many casinos do have that rule so, I just make a deposit between free chips at InetBet just to make sure. It's so easy since you can just make a small $5 deposit there. "
"
Zebedy, you are right, it does say one account per person/household/computer as most of the casinos do and, I'm sorry I_am_Loni but, they were perfectly within their stated rules as far as your daughter is concerned. InetBet has such a good reputation everywhere that I think you are wasting your time by trying to get people to quit depositing there, especially when they were just following their rules.

You guys should talk to live chat or e-mail, maybe there's a problem or a valid explanation. We're just guessing here.

I didnt want to make a fool out of myself or come off sounding like I was calling them crooks! I truly figured that one of you experts would have my question 100% answered within a couple hours of my original post."
"
Now, I am starting to agree with you robsmom. Now that A non-rookie also had the same issue, that rules out my shortcut key theory. It is unlikely both of us hit the key combination by accident. There most likely is no shortcut keys available during casino play. Yup, I think tomorrow me and support are going to have a little chat. I should let the mod ask first, they would listen closer to someone that has been around for a while before a nobody like myself!?!"
"
I would have cashed out at $90 for sure. Might as well, then redeposit part back in a couple days. That would be new money in their eyes and have no max cashout.

i have already emailed their support, since there isn't a live-chat option available in their lobby. i will let you guys know what comes of it.

Yes, ohbhave, it would be nice to know what they have to say. They have such a good reputation though and, I myself have cashed out $300 on a free chip from them and I only deposit $5 - $10 at a time so, I'm not a BIG depositor. "
"
I will be very surprised if they don't have a good explanation but, it would be nice to know what their explanation is.

Okay, i just got a response from iNetBet: _________________________________________Dear Chelon A coupon reversal is done automatically on a free non deposit coupon when a player hits the max withdrawal. As in your case, the excess winnings were removed leaving the $90 permissable withdrawable balance. Kind regards CSR James
----- Original Message ----- From: Chelon To: support@inetbet.com Sent: Sunday, January 04, 2009 9:21 PM Subject: Can somebody please explain this? Thats A bunch of BS in my book. If its done automatically wouldnt it have happened at, in this case, $90.01?Plus they should have let a guy know before just doing it! It raises additional questions.. 1) What if the A guy had it on auto? 2) At any point after this auto withdrawl is done, there is no max cashout? 3) Is this something new? If so why the sudden need to start?

I beleive the automatic response. The servers update balances like every 15 30 minutes, not every second. I know this due to how my stats are updated this same way.

That makes sense. I guess if OhBhave is going to let it drop, I will too. His balance was cut alot more thn mine! Guess its time to wipe my eyes and move on! LOL"

Thanks to everyone on your comments and suggestions on this issue."

I still would like the one question answered by them sometime. If after the auto w/d and one cashes out, does the 10X chip max cashout rule still apply on the adjusted balance?

good point, i know at some casinos after having met the WR you have to physically cashout then redeposit to continue playing if you dont want any restrictions, but im not sure about inetbet,

yes, i am going to let this rest now. it just so happens that i was playing at the time of the adjustment... i noticed it immediately. nearly all the casinos will, in some variation or another, adjust a players winning balance on a free chip. the thing is, we are too busy playing to notice. if you ask me, i like the fact that iNetBet even does an adjustment to begin with. it kept me from being disappointed later on. btw, i'm a her... not a him

I assumed, perhaps like a lot of people, that they would adjust the amount when you cashed out, you know, only let you cash out the max. allowed for that chip but, it makes sense that that they wouldn't want you racking up a bunch of loyalty points from bets with money that kind of isn't yours.

virgie

they did this tome too. they should let you play and just dont give you player pts. at least most good rival groups.(i know this is rtg) just take the money off when you cash out. so you can at least play. how do they not know that you want to play and might lose all that money you had. i do think it is bad business as all of a sudden your balance is gone. i decided the next time they do that to me. i am going to stop, look at history and cash out. i will no longer continue to play. i will usually lose it all, but not in the future.i will be the winner in that cash, not them.

Yes you are right Virgie. The NEXT time it happens to me, I will also consider iti my Q to cash out also! Once it happens to A person, they know what to expect and look for. The first time it happens, it catches A player off guard usually. Before A player figures out that the balance was Violated by someone else, its too late!"
"
I just think its BulloSh*t that there was not A big announcement on the RTG Bannors when one logged in to their account. It almost seems to me that they all wanted to take people by surprise! There was no mention of it anywhere unless they changed a footnote in the terms at some wee hour of the morning!"
"
Anyway, I said above, I would let it go! As you can see, I am having A hard time letting it go! It still just burns my ass when I think about it!

i notice now when you redeem a free chip it says the extra balance will be removed when playthrough is met, im not sure if it is a new thing or if its always said that

Well ZeBedy, If it did say that new wording when I redeemed my chip, I got to place 80% of the blame on myself for not reading the messege closely. "
"
Its always been taught to me that, when dealing in things involving money, always read everything and know what it means. Perhaps my playing free chips at the PIT casinos made me feel to comfortable redeeming ND chips and did not read the entire messege! However, I still would place a small piece of the blame on the casinos for not making a big deal and drawing attention to such A drastic move on their part. I would call adjusting A players balance A drastic change in policy! They know they have an anto-spin button. To adjust A balance in the middle of auto-spin just invites A problem! "
"
Well atleast now, Zebedy, since I am going to assume 80% of the blame, it don' t burn my ass as much when I think about it! (LOL)"

Well it is actually better that they do not allow you to play your balance over the cashout limit on a free chip. If you have made a deposit and are playing you have the full expectation that most of those playing are also depositing players."
"
If they just allow free chip players to keep going this TAKES away from your ability and odds to land some good wins. There are plenty of RTG casinos that pull the free chip garbage for that exact reason as then they don't have to pay out and profits increase. "
"
InetBet has been around for ages and they are honest. The mere fact that they take the approach they do and remove any balance over the cashable amount is prrof they are acting responsible and looking out for depositing players best interests."
"
Makes sense doesn't it?..:)
