What a bummer time I had at the land casino.

Morning:They say misery loves company, so I thought I would share with my friends my awful time at the land casino last night. [IMG]I was soooooo excited to go, as I always am.  Looking forward to a relaxing evening playing a few slots. I get there, one of my favorite games is open. I see it as a sign. I squeeze in between two people who are laid out like a 8 day wash.  I put in my first $20.  I am not looking to win big tonight as much as be entertained.  (course if I won big thats okay too[IMG]) Gee, this game isnt liking me tonight . I say after I burn thru my first $20 on Minimum bet.  40 lines, 1 coin.  I've been known to stay with a game when it has been bad as sometimes it makes up for it when and if you get the bonus.   So I played on.  MISTAKE. I put in another $10. Nothing. Not a single bonus in $30 bucks.  I am starting to get a little anxious as there are bonuses going on all around me.   I put in my last $20 and I just know that the bonus is gonna come and I'll be redeemed for staying at this game while it was bad.   MISTAKE. Well, guess what?  You got it..........Nothing.......No wins....No Bonus....No payout. I sat there and lost $50 bucks without a single bonus, and playtime was like 20 minutes. [IMG] It was awfullll. Now I am a gambler. I know that sometimes this happens.  Yet, I was so upset I went to Slot operations and spoke to a manager about what had just happened to me. Of course you know what happened next. He looked at me like I was just one of the hundreds of people he talks to each day that loses and is upset about it. I explained to him I was not angry I didnt win, but I was looking to be entertained, and certainly was not.  He went into some long , one sided conversation about how Slot machines work and yadda yadda yadda.  He had no idea I knew alot about the workings of a slot machine as I have educated myself on the subject.  First he said the machines were completely random as they are run by a chip. This is true I know.  Then he turns around and says something completely opposite.  He says, well maybe someone just won on it before you got here.   Well if that chip is random, then it doesnt matter.  D'oh.  Talking put both sides of his mouth. There was no free comp dollars, no free meal tickets, no free anything.  hahahahaJust a Well, thats gambling. is what he left me with. I knew I wouldnt get anywhere by talking to him, I was just so irritated I had to make a point.  He likely walked away laughing at me, and thats okay too. If I were him, I might do the same thing.  [IMG]So anyways....A seriously short and unentertaining time at the Casino last night. I didnt have time to have a beer or even light a smoke.   I was in and out. Thanks for letting me share my bad time with you all.  I'm over it now, but dont regret talking to the guy last night.   I was respectful and calm.   (security was hanging around while I talked to him just incase I went bizerk I guess. hahahahahah) Anyone else have a time when your casino experience was so short it was sickening?                                                                         Pam

I'm with kitty on that one. It's probably been at least a year since I have been to a land based casino here at home. I only live 3 minutes away from one and 10 minutes away from another (driving) but would have to actually get dressed to go. LOL It's just so much easier to stay home in my jammy's and spin my bank account away. Now I was in Vegas and Lake Tahoe/Reno in June and last November and my gambling time was sooooo anti - climatic. [IMG] I went back to my sister in laws house and fired up the laptop after one outing in Lake Tahoe and had hit after hit after hit, online. It is much easier to win online. It is much harder to cashout online though. At a land based casino, sometimes you have a time limit. You have to leave at some point and when you do, you cashout, money in hand and go home or wherever. So different with the online casinos. You close them down and reopen them in the morning, in your jammy's and spin all your winnings away. I'm really sorry you did not have a great time at the land base PMM. But that's how the cookie crumbles sometimes. [IMG]

Yes. Isnt it so true staying at home and spinning can really beat the pants off of going to a Land casino.   I spun yesterday playing the new game, and had a blast, playtime was good, and although I didnt have a cashout, I still felt I got my money's worth. Then I have to get dressed, drive there, find a parking spot, walk a mile in, just to sit down and lose in 20 minutes. Spinning at home also is a plus so you dont have to sit next to strange people you dont know.  You know the type,  They get mad at you if you light up, cause they dont smoke. Or they look and smell like they have been in the casino wayyyy to long.  [IMG]For sure, spinning at home has so many advantages over the land casino.  It's no contest when it boils right down to it.                                                                                            Pam

the last time I went to hard rock in Tampa I lost (of course) so I went to look for my son to go home, someone I guess had spilled a drink and I didnt see it because the floors are carpeted and down I went in a puddle of red stickyness. My son found a manager and she said oh my and had someone clean it while I stood there covered in red. That was THE LAST time I went.

Being from Vegas, I know exactly how you feel. I would go to the casino, and be back home in 30 min most of the time. For me I would rather play in a land casino though. I like the enviroment, the sounds of wins around me. It makes me miss home more and more when I think about it."

I actually love going to land-based casino's. Like to meet new people, stay up for 24 hrs straight and head home....In the last 5 years I have gone, I have actually came home with money. Most times what I went with. Grand Casino Mille Lacs is about 2 hrs from me. So for me, it is an effort to get there [IMG] I might just go for my b-day, which I have done for the last 10 years. I get a free room and a $15 comp. So, if I lose my money fast, I can always sleep!!!
