Seriously? You want me to remember what I was doing 10 years? :biglol: Well, I know one thing I probably started gambling online! Went off Dial up and upgraded to Satellite internet. My daughter was 11 and was a stay-at-home Mom.

Ten years ago? First off, I was much skinnier. lol I too started the whole gambling on line thing around that time. I was living in a different house, but same state. I was with someone romantically, who is long gone now. lol I didn't have my dog Roxie yet, but was sure looking. Not sure what I was driving at the time, I think it was my 92 S-10. I loved that truck. Here's the best part.....I was a non smoker, of which I am not now. Sigh.

Had good friends back then, of which I can say I still have the same ones. That is awesome.

10 years ago seems like yesterday. Where does the time go.....

Thanks Pam! (I think it's safe to say we were all skinnier 10 years ago!)

Well 10 years ago it was like 6 months after my 1st open heart surgery. So I was probably enjoying life and not taking it for granted. That kind of life event makes you appreciate things to the fullest. Like taking in all the fresh air outside and enjoying all of Gods creations! Just appreciating life.

Ten years ago at this time we were in the final stages of planning my youngest daughter Colleens wedding which was August 13, 2015. It was June and I still did not have my dress, which stressed me out. Looked all over even in different cities, but found the perfect one right here in my home town. The bride was calm cool and collective , but the mother was a total wreck. All in all everything turned out perfect and we all had a beautiful day. Can't remember if I was gambling on line then, but we were going to land casinos back then. That is when my husband won a 12,000.00 jackpot at one of the casinos we were going to. That sure was a nice gift .

    I was, umm....

    I was, ummm.....

    What was I doing?!

Lets see, subtract 10 from 2015 and that equals 2005...

2005 my son was 10 years old and my daughter was still in college...

Oh yea, I was workin' my buns off taking care of my kids!

    LOL!

I was much much heavier, so there goes Sookie's theory. I had a kick ass job, and little did I know I was getting ready to spiral down down down down and lose almost everything. Good times!

I remember 2005 as though it was just 10 years ago....

    Oh, wait... :surprise:

I was enjoying gambling at brick and mortar casinos - primarily the Harrah's group of casinos in California and Las Vegas. We played enough that we had Diamond status, good for free food and drink, comped suites at Caesar's Palace, free slot tournaments, etc.

It was all too good to last. Harrah's was acquired by another company and most of the freebies went away. That was followed by the economic meltdown of 2008 and all of the rest of the perks disappeared.

I discovered NDF while looking for new freebies and the rest is history!

Ten years ago, I was living 100 yds. from the beach with a view of the Queen Mary in Belmont Shore (Long Beach) CA and managing my Aunt's two apartment buildings on Ocean Blvd. I was never really a beach kind of guy in my early years, but I sure grew to love it, while it lasted. The weather was fantastic year round !!! Oh, how I miss those days as a beach bum !!!

I'm not actually posting for the contest (I know, weird right? lol I only play at one of those casinos) but I started thinking about what I was actually doing 10 years ago and I thought I would post for fun! I had moved to MI and I was living with a great guy (not for me but for someone else) My daughter was a sophomore in high school. I had met some great new friends and yes, gambling WAY more than I should have!!

The funny part is how much my life has changed since then. I have lived in 5 states since then (one of them twice), I was married and divorced, my daughter passed away, I no longer talk to that guy I was living with but I keep in touch with all his friends I met 10 years ago. The only thing that has stayed the same is my job and I am still gambling way more than I should!! Love reading the 10 year stories!!

Ten years ago I was temporarily living in Shreveport with my Hubby who went to work on a year long job. Transfered to LSU Hospital Psyche Unit. LOL I have since retired and moved home to Duck Commander town. Had no shortage of land based slots LOL but still found myself online some playing. My casinos at that time were Slotland and English Harbor. My first win was at English Harbor just in time for Christmas buying spree for kids.

Well, to be honest, it was a bad year for me and more to follow from there. It was the year I had to quit working and go on disability. From there, I ended up losing my home of over 13 years waiting on Soc Sec to kick in. But, on a better note, today, life is pretty darn good I must say. I feel like one of the most blessed persons on this beautiful earth we live on and I am greatful for every day that I wake up surrounded by the love of my family and friends.
    HAPPY ANNIVERSARY NDF!!!

2005 completed my undergraduate and moved from UF to next door to my MOM, in the worlds tiniest town. Had to drive an hour in any direction for anything, shopping, employment, etc. It was so remote internet wasn't even available satellite. Wow, 10 years speeds by but seems like an eternity ago.

 How wonderful for you. The fact that anything lasts 1o years these days is a miracle so i send heartfelt congrats. Good Luck to everyone!! The last 10 years went by very quickly and really have a wonderful story. I became my son's homeschool teacher because of a health issue. I can't help it i am a protective mother and my son was very little for his age. So form the 7th grade thru High school i was a teacher/mentor. Wonderful education lessons from online school were available for us to follow. When the kid is smart it just works. First High School graduation to attend. Then the most recent accomplishment for my son..his College graduation!! I am very proud to have had the opportunity to be a teacher/mentor. I never finished college but now my son did so this is a great story for us to be able to share.
