YAY!! We found the solution to that mess above. It is an Internet Explorer issue.If you are seeing the ugly black stripes when you are making a new post, all you need to do is shut off Compatability View in the Tools menu in IE. Take off activeboard.com if it is listed in the list of sites that are using compatibility view. That fixed it for me.
