<a></a> October 8, 2008 Glitch Causes $21.5M Jackpot An Australian woman thought she'd hit a AU$21.5 million ($14.3 million U.S.) slot jackpot at Jupiters Townsville. Then the machine conked out altogether. Seems there was a software malfunction with the slot, which is set to a maximum payout of AU$750,000 ($500K U.S.). So, instead of the megamillions that Joy Currinckx thought she'd won, she received the AU$100 the casino says should have been paid, plus a comped overnight stay and breakfast. One hundred dollars is a little bit short of $21 million, particularly for all the trouble, harrumphed the disappointed punter. The casino has asked Queensland regulators to review the matter.

Two years ago, while at Dakota Magic, a land-based casino..........Brian, my friend hit a Royal Flush on 25c slots. YEAH, $1000.00!!! Lights flashing and everything.....Ya know what....seems the machine malfunctioned and they wouldn't pay him. There were 5 of us watching and saw!!! They gave him $50.00! Haven't been back there since!
wow, thats sad considering how much profit/money they actually make, gees here all the time the casinos will try and get out of paying what to them is pitty amount of money where to the average joe its a lot of $$$$. we all go to make our dreams come true lol we all chase that big one and some of us may cash out a lil in between but at the end of the day it makes you wonder why bother for if you do hit it whos to say they will pay..... i will stick to my online casinos as i havent won but i have far more fun at home and sit back and watch most ppl go to land casinos to once again donate there hard earn money to get ripped off and i like the fact i can get up and get a drink or smoke or watever in the comfort of my own home.

I had heard that it happened to someone else there too. It is sad. Thankfully I haven't had that happen to me at the land-based here in MN. That place is in ND.
