So what is an NFT?
An NFT, also known as a non-fungible token, is a tamper proof digital certificate of authenticity that conveys ownership in a digital asset.
NFTs have exploded in popularity and are reaching public mass adoption at a very rapid pace. Their popularity has seen a tremendous spike of interest in by trade & collection with NFTs being sold for tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars not being an uncommon occurrence!
How do NFT tournaments work?
Each tournament will run for a predetermined amount of time, generally monthly, and will have a specific set of our awesome casino games linked to them. These games will change from tournament to tournament.
At the start of each tournament Slotty Vegas will mint (create) a set of new NFTs on the Polygon blockchain to be used as prizes.
You can participate in the tournament simply by opting in and then wagering any amount of real funds on any of the tournament games. Your position on tournament leaderboards will be determined by the highest win multiplier you make on any of the games.
Win multiplier = Amount won / Amount bet
Any wins you make on the game itself during the tournament are 100% yours to keep and will be credited into your casino account as normal, meaning you forfeit nothing in order to take part!
The minted NFTs will be owned by Slotty Vegas until the time the tournament ends at which point their ownership will be transferred over to the lucky winners.
Does it cost anything to participate?
No, participation is absolutely 100% free. Apart from there being no entry fee Slotty Vegas will also cover all blockchain transaction costs!
