The Human Body Holds Some Of The World's Most Puzzling Mysteries

    By Lola Smith

Yes, it's true! The human body contains some of the most baffling mysteries that even the smartest doctors, scientists and psychologists can't figure out why we do what we do or for what reason certain organs or body parts are for or why our brain acts the way it does. Current medicine is phenomenal and our new age doctors and scientists are absolutely amazing! So why can't the mysteries of the human body be solved? Why have they baffled the human race for decades on end?

Here are some mysteries that the human body contains. If you know the answer or just think you know the answer, let us know. You never know if you might be onto something great, mind blowing and human race altering!

    Unnecessary Organs

The appendix is an organ of the human body that scientists can't figure out why we have it. It can be removed and absolutely nothing will happen to the functions of our bodies. Wisdom teeth and tailbones may have been leftovers from our caveman days. They serve no purpose but hurt your tailbone or have some wisdom teeth grow in wrong and boy, are you in a world of hurt.

Why do we have memories? How are they formed? Where are they stored? In our day of modern medicine, there are no answers to those questions.

Kissing is an act that we humans seem to love doing but don't know exactly why. Maybe you are blushing now thinking about kissing a crush. Did you know that researchers do not know why we blush? What a perplexing position.

Why do we yawn? Researchers have been asking this question for years over this particular action of the human body. Is it to take in a large amount of oxygen all at once? Is it to show off our teeth in a way to scare off other in our less than alert state? And why is it contagious?

    Dreaming While Sleeping

If our bodies need sleep and our minds need to rest to be able to function properly, why do we dream which keeps our minds in an alert state? It seems like a mystifying contradiction that cannot be explained.

Those are just a few examples of some great mysteries the human body holds. One would think that you would have to scour the ends of the Earth to find a puzzling mystery but all you need to do is take a look at yourself. Are you scratching your head now? Why?
