Top 5 Things to Do in The Big Apple

New York City has been known and heralded over the years as one of the greatest tourist spots in the world. Anywhere you walk, you’d have no trouble stumbling upon jaw-dropping sights and losing yourself in fun activities enticing you to enjoy them. With that said, if you do want to have some idea of what can enjoy while you’re there, here are the top five things you can do in The Big Apple.

American Museum of Natural History

If you’re looking to maximize the value of your dollar, it’s hard to imagine a better choice than the American Museum of Natural History. For a cost of $22 for adult tickets and $12.50 for children’s tickets, you will have access to millions of exhibits over dozens of buildings. You certainly get your money’s worth, but the experience is also dynamic and interactive. If you’re looking for an entertaining way to spend the day with the family, then this museum might be for you.

Brooklyn Bridge

For a more interesting experience, a walk across the Brooklyn Bridge is a breathtaking activity you can do in about a half-hour. There’s something very surreal when you take a trip across such a magnificent structure and realize that it’s something that locals use in their everyday lives. On top of that, the bridge has a splendid view of the whole area.  Various plaques documenting the construction process of the bridge are also placed around the Manhattan-side of the bridge.

Statue of Liberty

If you’re in New York City, there’s no way you can miss the sight of this brilliant symbol of America. You can make your way onto a ferry to get the closest, most immersive view of the monument. Otherwise, it’s still perfectly viable to see the statue from other spots around the southern tip of the city. The ferry trip will cost you a pretty penny and a few hours of your time. At the same time, it is the more complete experience, so your mileage with either option may vary.

Empire City Casino

When you’ve finished experiencing what New York City in the day has to offer, then surely it’s time for some fun at the Empire City Casino. You’ll find a wide variety of addictingly fun machines and table games. There are restaurants and food courts to satisfy every taste. When you need to take a break, there are lots of entertaining shows that you can view for free. There are also promotions being held every day of the week to give you the most value out of your time there.

Broadway

Finally, it’s the star attraction of New York City. Known as one of the greatest hearts of stage performance in the entire world, attending a Broadway performance is an absolute must if you have even the faintest interest. Long-running classics are still inspiring millions to this day, and new shows are constantly being put on as well. Whether you just intend on roaming the neon-lit streets at night, or you’d like to watch as many performances as you can while you’re here, there’s something here for everybody.

New York City has a reputation as one of the greatest tourist destinations in the world, and it holds that title for good reason. The rich history exudes from every pore of the city and the timeless landmarks simply need to be appreciated in person. There are countless other attractions that weren’t on this list as well. Some are monolithic in scope, and others are just small parts of the culture. Either way, visiting The Big Apple is sure to be a life-changing experience.
