I'm just a little curious as to how many of us smoke and how many of us don't.
I've been a smoker for almost 14 years, but I need to quit because I'm a singer. I've been say that for....about 14 years!! LOL!

Kinda frightning. Yes, I'm a smoker... not something that I'm proud of, but it is what it is. Here's an interesting link for those of you who do smoke: http://www.healthatoz.com/healthatoz/Atoz/tl/misc/costsmoking.jsp -- Edited by ohbhave at 13:57, 2008-09-12

whiskey that was the same here i smoked for yours and one day i said i am going to quit and i did 8mo ago and i did it by myself with no help and if i can do it everyone can"
Well isn't that nice for you Sarah and Whiskey. Not so easy for me. When they outlawed smoking in bars here a few years ago, I quit drinking. No problem. LOL! (but true)
Its all in your mind, you have control!!!! Iv'e been a non smoker now for 40 years, mind over matter. Yes I do get a very strong urge to lite once in a while!!!
I started smoking when I was 16yrs. old and really wish I hadn't. However, I enjoy smoking. Pretty sick eh? I would love to quit cold turkey but am afraid of doing 25yrs or more.lol"
well i am a smoker but i don't know why i don't quit, when i am pregnant i give up not a problem but when i have had the baby i take it back up well i am 36 and i have smoked now off an on since i was 13 and i have children and i am a better person and stronger person than the cigarette life it offers me so i am quiting for good and i have to set an example for my children i have a 15 y o daughter whom has smoked and quit after many lectures from me and after our last fight she called me a hypocrite as i smoke but wouldn't allow her too well she is right and i can't let her have that on me. so my early christmas present to my family is to throw away the cigarettes and give myself and them a better quality of life....
my daughter just had a baby 8days ago and the hole 9 mo she stop smoking and just after she left the hospial she had to have a cigarette
I have to admit....I enjoy smoking too much that I may never quit. Sad, but true.
well after friday night my 6th heart attack for the year i decide to go cold turkey"
Out of 34 votes 32 smoke, i think were definitely out of the norm around here
Yep, smoker..and have quit a couple times but it didn't last more than 2 weeks.
I smoke; have for 35+ years. Tried Chantix, and if you use it, BE CAREFUL! I don't drink, 'cept a sip of hubby's wine or beer, and when I did just that, here recently, I reacted HELLA-WEIRD!! Tried to jump out of a moving car, screaming like a maniac, yada, yada, yada. Do not take it with any other anti-depressants, or without a watcher, you know, a friend that tells youn when you've had enough, etc.
Oh great , drugs addicts will have another thing to try doing, sounds almost like a really bad acid trip. I can see the 20/20 segment now.
Like a chimney! Just got new house so promised family I'd smoke outside. I'm pretty sure I spend MOST of my time outdoors, lol!
I also tried prescription pills to stop smoking and tripped bad it wasn't plesant ,i got off it after less than a week and will never try it again. needless to say i still smoke.
I should be moved into our new place by the end of this month also and like you Unchanedmelody, I will be thrown outside too. Thank goodness our winters here are not that bad!! LOL
i got through 3 packs a day

I am in the medical field also. I don't have as high as a license as either of you 2 but I am licensed! You would think that being involved in a medical profession it would deter us, but it doesn't so it seems."
