Here is some Kentucky Derby information according to one site. There are tons of other sites where betting odds can be found too.Since the derby will be ran on Saturday 5/4/13, there could be changes in the the horses that actually run so be sure to keep up on all that before you go and make your winning bets! Trainers, jockies and even what post position the horses will be bolting from are major factors when choosing the winner(s). So who's your money on so far? For those of you who don't have a race track near you, you might be able to find a local establishment that offers off track betting or OTB. If you want to feel some awesome excitement, check out the How To Bet link below, and give it a try! It's so much fun! How To Bet On Horse Racing: Kentucky Derby Gambling GuideI will most likely be betting an exacta box with 4 horses. I'll be at an anual live horse race event this week where they will offer OTB for the Kentucky Derby too. Fun, fun ... FUN! Good luck to anyone and everyone betting on the horses this weekend! 2013 Kentucky Derby Details:Date and Time: Saturday, May 4, 2013, at 7-7:30 p.m. ETVenue: Churchill Downs; Louisville, Ky.Grade I, 10 furlongs, Purse: $2.18 million
HorsePoints in 2013OddsVerrazano150 points4/1Orb150 points6/1Revolutionary110 points8/1Goldcents 129 points15/2Overanalyze110 points10/1Normandy Invasion44 points10/1Itsmyluckyday50 points14/1Javas War122 points16/1Vyjack70 points16/1Will Take Charge60 points20/1Lines of Battle100 points20/1Mylute42 points25/1Palace Malice50 points25/1Oxbow36 points35/1Mylute42 points35/1Black Onyx50 points40/1Frac Daddy44 points45/1Charming Kitten20 points50/1Golden Soul14 points50/1Falling Sky30 points75/1 The Favorite : Orb (6/1) may go off as the race favorite this year and deservedly so. This is an extremely talented horse who has shown a great improvement over his past few starts, and given his pedigree and the fact he's very suited to this distance, it'll be hard to knock off Orb this year. The Best Bet : Normandy Invasion (10/1) rattled home at the Wood Memorial for a second-place finish and will be looking to do the same this year if the pace is slow, which it may well be. He has an excellent pedigree of speed and residual stamina, and is therefore suited to this race - which could lead to another strong finish down the outside this weekend. The Long Shot : Mylute (now 25/1) was my outside pick when it was 35/1, and I'm sticking by that. This isn't the greatest field this year, and if Orb is blocked for a run, then Mylute has more than enough talent to hit the line first. He was very strong over longer distances in the Grade II Louisiana Derby, and with Rosie Napravnik as jockey, he may well surprise a few people this weekend.

Thanks for posting odds Mben. Me and my hubby play horse races all the time. Wish those favorites would stay right there at 6/1 and 8/1. Revolutionary and Orb is what I'm thinking about playing but have to get some long shots in there, lol.

Oh! I didn't know you liked horse racing, slotgal! Cool!Yes, definitely you need a long shot in there. Last year, I threw the #19 horse, I'll Have Another , in at the last minute. I don't think he was a long, long shot and guess what? He won! That paid me $152 on a $12 bet!-- Edited by Mben on Wednesday 1st of May 2013 06:23:28 PM

My own words were: Thanks for posting odds Mben. Me and my hubby play horse races all the time. Wish those favorites would stay right there at 6/1 and 8/1. Revolutionary and Orb is what I'm thinking about playing but have to get some long shots in there, lol. Well it wasn't the 4 horse I threw in as a long shot between orb and revolutionary, it was the 3. Dang! one number off!

Nothing like screwing up on the Kentucky Derby but it paid off good! I went to watch live horse racing down south of me over the weekend. There was OTB also so I was able to bet on the Derby. A $1 exacta on 5 horses cost me $20. With #16 and #4 winning, it paid me ........ $490.80!!!! How did I pick the winners? Ummm .... accidentally! I wanted the #14 horse and accidentally put in the #4 horse! LMAO! I did toss around putting the #16 in too and very happy I did! Here's my cheat sheet. The bottom list was the winner. See the #4 horse on both lists? Well #4 was not Verrazano. Verrazano was #14 and that's the horse I wanted but not the number. I got so damn lucky!!!!!! What a GREAT day at the races Saturday!!!!! - I had 4 out of the 5 top winners on the bottom ticket. Imagine if I would have put up a bit more $ on a trifecta or even the superfecta? Thousands I would have won!

Nice mistake bet!I have done that many times, bud lite was mostly the cause and it worked for and against me.Yeah if you would have boxed all those horses in the trifecta it would have cost you $60 I think but you would have gotten back almost $3500.Its easy to say after the fact. The exacta paid nice with the favorite winning.Nice job!
