The American Gaming Association is the USA's biggest casino trade group and they now want online poker legalized for the sake of the American citizens. Frank J. Fahrenkopf Jr. who is the president of the American Gaming Association, had this to say there are no longer any good reasons to put U.S. citizens at risk by continuing to outlaw online poker in the U.S. The AGA has a proposed online poker code of conduct and is urging Congress to approve it. Some of the code of conduct include ways to stop money laundering, background checks for potential poker sites and keeping an eye on all US gamblers to make sure illegal gamblers and teenagers are not involved with any poker room. Many influencial people in the US government have voiced their opinions about legalizing online poker and their support of it. The movement is growing larger by the day. With the latest news about the ponzi scheme that Full Tilt poker has been accused of, Mr. Fahrenkopf said this Theres no better example of why we should be licensed here in the U.S. As you can see from what the Justice Department did [Tuesday] morning, theres no protection for consumers whatsoever,, in an attempt to throw off some opinions as to why online poker should not be legalized with the recent ponzi scheme accusation.
