Android or iPhone .... Help Me Decide!

Yippie! My contract finally ended and I am eligible for the new contract discount on a new phone today! :maddance: I even more super excited about getting a new phone because I dropped my phone a couple of months ago and have lived with the very cracked screen for this long now. I have an Android now. A Samsung. It has a slide out keyboard which I love. Coming from a Blackberry, that made the slide out qwerty a must! There probably isn't an Android with a slide out now that will be in my price range. (I haven't even looked yet)I am leaning towards the HTC Evo or the Samsung Galaxy. My daughter keeps insisting I go for the iPhone 4s.So what do you all think? Android or iPhone? If you think Android, do you have a specific model you would recommend?

I had iPhones until 6 months ago. I now have a Samsung Note - much nicer!

Oh wow...See, I love my Android phone, it does all the things I need it to do with flying colors.Yet an Iphone can do even more is what I have been told. My brother has an Iphone, and I am always asking him what I can do with it that my phone cannot do.If I had a choice, I would get a Iphone.  They are amazing. I'm with your daughter on this one. :lol:Choosing a phone is a tuff decision. You will have it for 2 yrs, am I right?Wishing you best of luck in your decision. Do your homework as I know you will, and you will choose the right one for you.

2 votes for Android and 1 for iPhone. My daughter called yesterday and said she was coming over. I said good, that she could go to Sprint with me. Guess what? She showed up with my Christmas present early! She bought me the HTC Evo!!!! Bri told me that at the Sprint store, she told the guy she was buying the phone for her mom. He says does she know how to use one of these (expecting an old nerdy lady lol) Bri tells him that I use my phone way more than she does and I know more than her. lolThis phone is a dream! (I'm coming from a Samsung Intercept) It's gonna take me about 6 months to set it up like I want because there's so much more to do with it. Thanks for your votes everyone. I expected to have more time to decide but I am not complaining that someone decided for me. I'm super excited!:maddance: (Jeeze, I need to get a life! lol)

My daughter showed me what Siri can do and she is awesome ... Siri that is, kcitat! :shwing: (my daughter is too!)And speaking of operating systems, casinoplayer .......... I already have an issue with mine. I was setting personal ringtones for my contacts and when they would call, the default ringtone would play. I'm thinking I am not a moron and know how to set tones for people so I went and searched the web and found out that there is an issue with the personal ringtones and people are waiting for an update to be pushed. But they have been waiting for a couple of months now. How can something to simple take so long to fix. (I am not a developer and don't know what is involved really but still .....) I can get to Facebook a million ways from my phone but can't set a ringtone ... hmmmmm.
