CAR RENTAL IN VEGAS?

My step kid is going to Vegas and needs to rent a car. Any better than the other? Never rented a car from Vegas, so haven't a clue!

I've always used taxis during my Vegas trips. When I was in a rental in Vegas, it was because I was driving through it going to Reno. "
Is he needing to drive a lot while he's there?
