Has Anyone Been Able To Sign Up for Obamacare Yet?

I am one of the few Americans forced to sign up for Obamacare (unless I want to pay the taxes for not doing so) but when I have attempted to register since the site opened, I've been unsuccessful.Come to find out, the I'm not the only one who is frustrated and can't even create an account. Makes me wonder (not really wondering at this point because I already had an opinion about the Obamacare dictatorial law placed upon me) but it makes me think that if these idiots can't get a simple website to operate properly, how can their whole package be credible. Here's a site where there are many complaints so far. These are 2 very good ones and are my feelings exactly. http://www.breitbart.com/InstaBlog/2013/10/11/50-Real-People-Complaining-About-Healthcare-gov 47. I've tried multiple times over the past 10 days to log on. No luck at all. Imagine what would have happened to Amazon or Google if they were down 10 days after their launch. 48. Very frustrated with this. A friend laughed at me and said Ha ha- you think it's a good idea to still entrust your healthcare to a bunch of idiots who cannot get a website up and running, given 3 yrs and the unlimited resources of the US gov!? Obamacare needs to be flushed down the :toilet:

Thanks for your thoughts, sashasmom. "
I was on the phone with the Martketplace people and they said give it a few days and try to log in again. I guess one of my attempts was successful because when i tried to sign up again, it said my username was already in use. "
Anyway, she gave me some general premium rates to give me an idea of what's in store for me. So far, I am not impressed with the low cost health care cost she gave me.

MN has it's own website and that isn't working yet either! I get my healthcare thru the VA. Guess that's a good thing:) The only bad thing is no coverage for my eyes or teeth....that's what I need the most....glasses and dental work done:(

You would think that vision and dental would be covered for veterans too. What goes first for aging people? Eyes and teeth. (not saying that all veterans are older people but they usually are)

Mben...my level isn't eligible! There are 5 levels they go by! At least I can get hearing aides if I ever need them:)

Oh, I didn't know that, krystalkitty. "
And Sookie, if your friend is in Texas, I believe they are offering Obamacare on their own state run website. But if they are not in Texas, let me know what they did to get in. I'll call them again sometime next week because i still get an error when I try and log in.

I'm curious as to when the affordable part kicks in. According to the California website, affordable is $550+ each for wifey and me :surprise:

Am I the only one REALLY!! pissed off by this, I thought I lived in America why is the government forcing me to buy healthcare. Go online and read the entire healthcare bill and you will see where the money is going it made me sick.

I can not believe anyone thinks this health care bill is good. I was just listening to the President and he stated the premiums are about the cost of your cable or cell phone bill. I would like to know what world he resides in. The premiums are very high not to say the deductibles are high as well. I think the whole bill is a disaster and will eventually fall on its own. To roll out something that does not work is absolutely crazy not to mention the cost. I would rather pay the fine than sign up for Obamacare.

the fine can be very costly mdexter. I would like to know where they think the money will come from if people can't afford their health care how do they pay that fine

I totally agree with all the latest replies!Affordable? Yeah right!Land of the Free ? Yeah right! For those who cannot afford healthcare suddenly now have money coming out of their butts to pay for it just because it is going to be government ran? Yeah right!I can't afford to get my nails done every week. I sure hope they come up with a NAIL OBAMA care soon. Pun intended! -- Edited by Mben on Monday 21st of October 2013 12:30:30 PM

here are some of the scary things in the Obamacare bill:"
Page 50/section 152: The bill will provide insurance to all non-U.S. residents, even if they are here illegally."
Page 58 and 59: The government will have real-time access to an individual's bank account and will have the authority to make electronic fund transfers from those accounts."
Page 65/section 164: The plan will be subsidized (by the government) for all union members, union retirees and for community organizations (such as the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now - ACORN)."
Page 203/line 14-15: The tax imposed under this section will not be treated as a tax. (How could anybody in their right mind come up with that?)"
Page 241 and 253: Doctors will all be paid the same regardless of specialty, and the government will set all doctors' fees."
Page 272. section 1145: Cancer hospital will ration care according to the patient's age. AGE 76, YOU WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE FOR ANY CANCER TREATMENTS."
Page 317 and 321: The government will impose a prohibition on hospital expansion; however, communities may petition for an exception."
Page 425, line 4-12: The government mandates advance-care planning consultations. Those on Social Security will be required to attend an end-of-life planning seminar every five years. (Death counseling..)"
Page 429, line 13-25: The government will specify which doctors can write an end-of-life order.

I'm about to say screw it and not sign up."
I've got to look at the penalties and how it will affect me first, but after reading the stuff you posted, millie, I really rather pay the fines than support anything that supports illegals, turns doctor's offices into the DMV and tells me I must attend end of life meetings. Unreal!

Or blood pressure meds! :cigar:I did finally talk to someone again (after I made the call) who had me create a new account. I told him (because I know how casinos hate it lol) that I did not want the chance for a duplicate account but he said it wouldn't be a big deal. So anyway, I am in and will check out my options. Stalling a bit as I do hoping the whole damn thing falls through! lol-- Edited by Mben on Friday 15th of November 2013 11:30:09 AM

Scratch that! This whole thing is a freaking mess!!!! OMG!I had to be verified once I got into my new account so the rep made a 3 way call to the other company that verified identity. They got me verified and told me to wait a couple of hours to before logging into my new account. I logged in just now for the first time after they cleared this mess up for me 2 days ago and guess what? I AM NOT VERIFIED AND CANNOT PROCEED UNTIL I AM! I am so SICK of this!!!
