Regulating online gambling in the US is something that lawmakers are finally coming to the conclusion that it will be good for the US economy. The House Subcommittee on Commerce, Manufacturing and Trade has set a follow up hearing for November 18. 2012 which should bring legalizing online poker one step closer to becoming reality. There was a hearing last month on the subject. Boosting the US economy, safeguarding US online gamblers and more is what is driving government officials to keep the talks going. The more hearings that occur where supporters can bring their opinions and viewspoints to the forefront can only be a good thing and will raise hope that one day online gambling in the US will become legal.
