SHORT RIDDLE
What is greater than God,
more evil than the devil,
the poor have it,
the rich need it,
and if you eat it, you'll die?

LETS TRY ANOTHER ONE~

Each of the following sets of letters can be made into a real word by adding three letters to the beginning, and the same three letters in the same order to the end.

For example, ANGLEM can have ENT added at the start and the end to become ENT + ANGLEM + ENT = ENTANGLEMENT.

ERTAINM
ISCOVE
ROW
IOXID
ROCOS

LETS do it again!

These words can all have a letter added and then be rearranged to make a new 5-letter word, e.g. noun union NOUN + I = UNION.

The 7 added letters are an anagram of a 7-letter word. What is the 7-letter word, and what are the new words?

MAIL
EXIT
GOSH
CITY
NEWT
DENY
MINI

(Ohhh I like this one!)

THE UNUSUAL PARAGRAPH

This is a most unusual paragraph. How quickly can you find out what is so unusual about it? It looks so ordinary that you would think that nothing is wrong with it at all, and, in fact, nothing is. But it is unusual. Why? If you study it and think about it, you may find out, but I am not going to assist you in any way. You must do it without any hints or coaching. No doubt, if you work at it for a bit, it will dawn on you. Who knows? Go to work and try your skill. Good luck!

The Question: What is unusual about the above paragraph?

Okay....Here goes....

Mail = Claim if you add a C
Exit = Exist if you add a S
Gosh = Ghost of you add a T
City = Itchy if you add a H
Newt =Twine if you add a I
Deny =Needy if you add a E
Mini =Minim if you add a M (this one was tuff, had never heard of the word)

CSTHIEM = Chemist.

Now I will take a Advil for my headache. LOL

lolol, every puzzle you post, takes me longer and longer. I am not sharp with these by any means. Likely someone could just look at them and know it much quicker than I. Anyways, they are fun.

I may give this last one you posted a few more glances, cause I am clueless as of right now. lol

Thanks for the fun.

It uses the word unusual a real lot in the paragraph.

No takers on the last one?
Ok, how about this one:

Hidden in each of the sentences are the numbers 1 to 10 in words.

A number might appear in more than one sentence, but there is only one way to find all ten numbers.

For example 'My parents told me to never cross the road without looking.' contains the number 1: 'My parents told me to never cross the road without looking.'

It's always worth looking after your friends, even if they've upset you.

Even heavyweight boxers like using soft tissues when they have a cold.

To avoid the calf, I veered sharply to the left.

The eggs were boxed thirteen instead of a dozen in each baker's delivery box.

Having salmon every day for lunch gets a little boring after a while.

The attendance at the local football match exceeded last weeks by many thousands.

We need to waterproof our boots to make sure we don't get wet.

Meeting friends after work allows executives to network effectively.

The orchestra sounded magnificent with the three virtuosi xylophonists.
