Slotland has just given online slots players another birthday gift and another choice for deposits and withdrawals. The unique online casino now accepts Bitcoin, the world's most popular cryptocurrency. Deposits made in Bitcoins are credited instantly, and withdrawals are processed the next business day. During its 19th birthday celebrations this month, Slotland has also added a new game and continues to offer a variety of weekly birthday bonuses.

"Bitcoins are perfect for online transactions," said Slotland manager Michael Hilary. "We can process Bitcoin transactions really quickly — players have their withdrawals by the very next business day. For many players, Bitcoins are the easiest, safest and quickest way to get their winnings!"

Slotland converts Bitcoin deposits to USD and automatically adds them to players' cash balances.

"You know you're always getting the current Bitcoin exchange rate," added Hilary. "Our system takes the average of the top three Bitcoin exchanges and updates every 15 minutes."

To introduce the convenient new banking option to players, Slotland is offering a choice of Bitcoin deposit bonuses with a variety of wagering requirements.

Slotland introductory Bitcoin bonuses are available for deposits made by Bitcoin until 22 October 2017 only.

It's very interesting to see Bitcoin being accepted, I remember my old boss told me to invest in bitcoin 4 years ago... I kind of wish I had! I was reading this article the other day about how it will completely take over other currencies..

http://www.newsbtc.com/2017/03/10/bitcoin-set-crush-currencies-2017/

It's pretty interesting! It could be the case that in 2/3 years, Bitcoin will be standard like PayPal for example. Watch this space! The only worry is that because Bitcoin is high value, will this cause more issues with responsible gambling?

No, like so many of us, I am behind the times when it comes to Bitcoin. Learning and reading about this very thing is where I am. I need to advance my knowledge in this area as to stay current with the members who are using this currency.

Hi there, This thread caught my eye for obvious reasons. I operate a boutique cryptocurrency gambling site, and we decided to start exclusively with cryptos as currency. While the novelty still presents a challenge in drawing players, there are undeniable advantages offered by Bitcoin and the likes when it comes to gambling online, both for players and operators.

For players, funding and withdrawing is quasi-instant on our site. I'm pretty proud to say we have one of the most hassle free ans quickest processes in the business. You can literally play a few hands and cash out, and your funds momentarily hit your personal wallet. It's the closest to the experience of cashing out your chips at a casino that you can have, except you don't trade them for fiat currency. I carry a bitcoin wallet on my smartphone and am able to receive and send money from it, and make payments wherever bitcoin is accepted from my phone's wallet.

Appreciation is also fantastic for gamblers. With the current trends, if you had won .1 bitcoin (roughly $80 USD back then) on a gambling site, just one year ago, and decided to hold on to it, it would be worth $6000 at the current Bitcoin price. So why not hold your gambling money into cryptocurrencies? It appreciates over time! I don't see this trend subsiding any time soon, as bitcoin is just starting to catch mainstream attention, and this is a GLOBAL happening.

Another benefit is the relative anonymity afforded by some (not all) crypto-based casinos. Our site only records your email as a means of identification and communication.

As for the concern expressed towards responsible gambling, I don't see how one denomination or another would change an individual's proclivities towards bad judgement.
We build custom games designed for fast mobile device interaction, and have made sure that you can always get a fair idea of your betting amount by supplying US dollar equivalents based on up to date market rates in the player's betting preferences. That way, it's harder to bet a wrong amount because of unfamiliarity with a new currency.

I guess I'm biased in this, but I really see a big future in cryptocurrencies. Think of the internet in the early 90's. This is where bitcoin is at the moment.

I'd love to hand out the link to our mobile site, but will refrain to do so out of respect for this forum. If interested, please PM me!

This is an attempt by the managing entities of Bitcoin to upgrade the tech and facilitate greater transaction volumes. Because there has to be a consensus between a majority of miners (the guys who run computer systems to maintain the payment system going) to roll out the new code into the system, those that decide not to do so will remain on the old system, while the others will move on the the new one, with a new denomination. This is a simplified overview of the issue, of course. If there is a fork in the currency, you will own similar amounts of both denominations after the fork. In the case of a previous fork back in May, owning the keys to some bitcoin meant I instantly owned an equal amount of Bitcoin Cash, which is currently exchanging at $400 USD.

This new fork is not guaranteed to happen, but likely. I'm providing a link to a great overview of the situation, for those who are intrigued.

Also, while we are on topic, you guys might be interested in learning that there is a great deal of money being invested in the gambling industry for crypto gaming platforms. A Malta licensed gaming company just raised over USD 30M in Ether to fund a betting platform running on Unikoin, a crypto currency intended to be a universal gambling token.

Exciting stuff if you ask me!
