what does a proxy server do?!i was playing at crazyslots when i noticed that i didn't have an internet connection BUT i could play/lose my deposit at crazyslots.  i finally realized that my computer had been reset to allow a proxy server connection!!!  I think i've lost my faith in all on line gambling!!seriously

I 2nd that EMOTION!!! Granted I am dealing with the tangled web, but the oddities I have encountered since I began my journey into online gaming are nefarious at best!!

A proxy server is a way that a person who surfs the internet can become anonymous. "
It can act as a middle man between a PC and the server that a person is requesting information from BUT will hide information such as IP address, country where the originating request is coming from, etc."
There is no way a casino would want you to use a proxy server because of fraud issues. For example, a person in a banned state or country could go through a proxy server to hide this info and create an account. Of course, the player will get caught eventually. The casino's tech teams are a whole lot smarter than that to allow that to happen."
If this is the case regarding a proxy server, what benefit would it be of the casinos to change your settings to allow a proxy server to be used? First of all, none. And secondly, only you can allow the use of a proxy server by changing the settings on your PC. The casinos cannot do this. "
I am not an expert on this, so if there is anyone who would like to add more to this discussion, please do. And also, correct me if I am wrong.
