Today I feel so much better. I have been suffering with I think is a sinus infection. Horrible headaches for like a week and falling into stuff. Dizzy as heck, lol, literally. Anyway, so much better today!

Hi gang:
Just took a nap on this beautiful Summer day. I am resting up for later today. Going to build a new fire pit. I love a camp fire on a cool Summer night. Sit around it relaxing, with a beverage of your choice. hehe
Went to Lowe's yesterday for all the materials. IF it turns out, I'll post a pic in a few days when it is completed. lol
I am so over all happy it is finally Summer. Winters are so long and hard on folks, makes them go a bit crazy after awhile, not being able to get out and see the sunshine. At least for me.
Wish me luck. :cheer:

"...a cool summer night..."

Yeah ... we don't have those here in Texas. It just gets a little less hot for a few hours.

Good luck with the fire pit - it sounds like fun! :crossed:

You fire pit sounds lovely, Pam.

We had I don't know how many straight days of over 100 degrees as the high last week, but the nights were beautiful. Not "cool" nights just beautiful cooler temps compared to the day.

These last couple of days have been overcast and we had rain last night. It feels a little muggy. It's a reminder of what the Monsoons bring. I can't wait for it to start.

Enjoy that beer! ;)

K PMM this is freaking me out, lol! I saw your pic the other day and thought now where do I know her from...my sister has a neighbor in Ct. and she does the camp fire thing all the time, is that you? If not, your doppelganger likes camp fires too!!

Howdy.....Started the fire pit. Lots of hard work carrying bricks and such. Digging a hole, all while it is in the 80's. I am in no way complaining about the weather, I love it, it is just really hot to do heavy lifting and digging. At least for me. lol

Sad sometimes. I look thru Better Homes and Gardens magazines and see the most spectacular fire pits. Lord knows I can't afford much, so mine will likely never look like any of them. lol Sometimes I wish I was rich instead of talented. lol J/K I'm not either one of those things.

You certainly are talented. I've seen one of your wood coffee tables and a shelf unit you made by hand.

That's talent, girl! :gogirl:

I'm sure your fire pit will come out just as good if not better!

Mben? Thanks. That was really nice of you to say. Sometimes we forget our past accomplishments.

My young friend Austin has one of the best tables I ever made. He is so possessive of it, he has it hid in his bedroom, with a blanket over it, so no one can actually use it. He says he loves it and is saving it for his own place someday when he doesn't live with his Dad. If anyone asks what is under the blanket he says "My table Pam gave me, don't touch it." I must say, I was proud of that one. Came out just beautiful, and Austin's fondness of it makes me smile.
Thanks again for the reminder I do have talent.

Hi gang:
Well, Summer was moving right along nicely.....then....I blew my knee out. What makes this worse is last year at this same time, I blew my other knee out and have to have surgery. Surgery is imminent for this knee as well. Getting old sucks. for two years in a row, Summer has been dampened by pain and injury.

Went to Cedar Point with my family. Couldn't even walk, had to sit in the hotel room.
See the surgeon on the 6th of August for a surgery date. Blah.

I live in the country, and still use a well/pump under the house for water supply. Well, pump went out. Had to buy a new one. $343.00
Shoot me now.

Okay....done complaining.

Summer...on a brighter note has brought me many wonderful things in my garden. The thing that brings me the most excitement however is my pumpkin patch. Although it is a little behind the other pumpkin patches I see, I too am getting buds now and will have my own pumpkins this year. Here is what makes this fun to me. I never planted any seeds for pumpkins yet I have a huge pumpkin patch. (Last late fall, I simply threw my old pumpkin away in a small shallow in the back yard. Nature did the rest. Amazing.

Here is a pic of one of my first buds, and if you look closely, you will see a bee inside the flower, doing what they do best. Maybe I'm a dork, but I love nature and growing things.

Thanks gang, take care.

:awesome;.
I just took a look see this morning as I do each day and I see a whole lotta buds, which means whole lotta pumpkins. lol I'll put the guy down the street out of business this fall. He sells pumpkins and they are pretty pricey. I'll slash my prices and sell twice as many. lol
Just kidding. I plan on giving away my pumpkins for a small donation, for Midland County Humane Society. So many sweet babies in there that need homes. God did all the work making these pumpkins for me, I'm excited to give back.

Hi gang:
Pumpkin patch is growing nicely. Will have many pumpkins to give away and share. Again, hopefully I can get a few donations for the local human society. Our patch is a few weeks behind other patches, but we will get the job done in time. hehe

Well, MRI showed a large and complicated tear of my meniscus. I am scheduled for surgery on Wed. the 12th. Would appreciate prayers. I know it is considered a somewhat simple surgery so very little can go wrong. The prayers I need are for a complete recovery. I am praying I have full use of both my knees when this is all said and done. Thank you in advance.

Pam will be praying for you, my mom has a tear in her rotator cuff, already had a rotator cuff surgery in other arm a few years ago. Don't want her to have anymore surgeries, she is 77 years old. I'm haven't been feeling good at all for about the last 7 days. Fibro flare is a bad one this time around. I hate Fibromyalgia!

I hope it starts to ease up on you soon, slotgal. I can't imagine living with pain like. :(

Hi gang. Surgery is behind me on my knee. I get my stitches out today. Knee is tender, but I am on the healing end of it now. Seriously? Who blows out both knees in less than a year? Me.

Due to my knee injury, my fire pit never got built. Sigh. Maybe next year.

Pumpkin patch is doing amazing. We have large pumpkins and gourds both growing. Each time it rains, I swear, the patch gets even larger than the day before. It is fun to watch things grow.

End of August is almost here. I cannot believe Summer is coming to a close. My sister is coming in from California on Sept 11th for a week. I am so excited to see her. My high school buddy is also coming home in Sept to visit. Sept will be a great moth for me. Don't you know I have them both rooms at the casino. lol

Hope everyone is doing well.....Take care
